Jaguar and Land Rover’s cyberattack may continue until October

A recent cyber-attack has caused a lot of problems for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and the companies that supply its parts. JLR, which is owned by India’s Tata group and is the UK’s largest car maker, had to stop making cars at its factories after hackers got into its computer systems. Because of this, thousands of workers in places like Halewood, Solihull, and Wolverhampton have been told to stay home. They will still get paid and will make up the hours later.

The problems from the attack are not just in the UK. They are also affecting JLR’s factories in other countries like Slovakia, Brazil, and India, as well as many of the companies that provide parts. The attack has shut down many of JLR’s computer systems, including the ones that keep track of spare parts. This has forced car dealers and repair shops to go back to using paper and pens to keep things running.

A group of hackers has said they are responsible for the attack. JLR has told the authorities about the problem, but they have not found any evidence that customer information was stolen. The company is now working with computer security experts and the police to fix the issue and has apologized for all the trouble this has caused. The problems from this attack could continue until October.
