CLAUDEDESIGN-ANTHROPIC

Introducing Claude Design by Anthropic Labs

Claude Design is introduced as a collaborative tool that enables the creation of polished visual work such as designs, prototypes, slides, one-pagers, and marketing materials by working interactively with Claude. It operates on the vision model Claude Opus 4.7 and is offered in research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. The tool expands the possibilities for both professional designers and non-designers, allowing broad exploration of ideas that would typically be limited by time and technical skills. By describing needs in natural language, an initial version is generated and then refined through conversation, inline comments, direct edits, or custom sliders “until it’s right.”

A central feature is the integration of each organization’s brand. During onboarding, the system reads codebases and design files to automatically build a design system, applying colors, typography, and components consistently across projects, with the option to refine and maintain multiple systems over time. Users can import content from text prompts, images, documents, codebases, or even capture elements directly from existing websites to ensure prototypes resemble the real product. Fine-grained controls let users adjust spacing, color, and layout live and propagate those changes across the whole design.

Collaboration is supported through organization-scoped sharing, with options ranging from private documents to shared editing and group conversations with Claude. Output can be exported as internal URLs, folders, Canva projects, PDFs, PPTX, or standalone HTML, and finished designs can be handed off to Claude Code through a dedicated bundle. Testimonials from companies like Canva, Brilliant, and Datadog highlight faster prototyping, fewer prompts needed to recreate complex pages, and the ability to move from rough ideas to working prototypes within a single conversation while staying on brand. Claude Design is available within existing paid Claude plans, and enterprise admins can enable it via organization settings.
