Consequently, ministers gathered at the 32nd APEC SME Ministerial Meeting emphasized policy alignment to support these enterprises. Digital technology adoption remains a cornerstone for expanding e-commerce and operational efficiency among regional firms. Specifically, leaders highlighted artificial intelligence as a key driver for mitigating supply chain disruptions. However, ministers noted that technology access must accompany comprehensive digital literacy programs and robust data privacy safeguards. Consequently, member economies pledged to translate these ministerial policy discussions into concrete regional action.
